Jolly Phonics is a literacy program that teaches children to read and write words using the letter sounds of 42 main combinations of the English language in an enjoyable, multi-sensory way. The letters are not introduced in alphabetical order. The first six letters have been chosen as they can make simple three letter words easier (s, a, t, i, p, n).
Each picture has a song, action and sound that makes learning and remembering the letters represented an interactive and differentiated learning experience.
Songs - The songs in the link below are played in order as they are taught. The blends (ai, oa, ie, ee, or, ng, oo, ch, sh, th, qu, ou, oi, ue, er and ar) at the end of the video are not a focus in kindergarten, however, we do take a peek at them when reading unfamiliar words.
